Hey Shelia, as of now, there is no recall for the A/C system.. there are WWAAYYYYY TOOOOOO many stories and complaints about this than I can possibly tell you.. I know this is not what you want to hear,,,I AM SORRY... but these vehicles, Arcadia's..etc are affected... its really a bad deal.. GM should step up and provide some assistance..While driving, usually in the morning, my temp gauge will drop to 0 and the AC will stop working. I have been able to fix it by pulling the negative battery cable and reset the ECU, everything works as it should immediately. I have tested the harness going to the sensor and it has both 5v and continuity to ground. The sensor read around 500 ohms when I tested it.2011 Traverse A/C hissing noise from dash. For the last two seasons, as the outside temperature starts to warm up, the a/c makes a hissing noise inside the cab and the air turns from cool to almost warm. Ridiculous. An airbag should not fail after 3 years of use and under 50,000 miles.This is what the work order states: GWIVH states recall 14030 side impact airbag is required. 2008 1.2 2009-2013 1.8. Required by General Motors. Air bag may not deploy. Remove D and spliced wires per document 3788581. Thank you!One thing you can try real quick to see if it resolves the issue - find the HVAC fuse in the panel underneath the glove box by the wheel well. Turn car off. Pull it for 30 seconds or so. Turn car on and don't touch the HVAC controls (should automatically come on at like 74).
